Spiritual Direction: Connect to Self and God

Everyone is on a journey. And spiritual direction is a way to find your bearings on this journey. To connect with your values, your inner guidance, your source of strength, your anchor when the storms of life assail. A spiritual direction session with me is time tailored for you to gain insight into the spiritual path. I currently am offering virtual session for people in a variety of timezones (although I am in EST). For an hour at a time, I will listen to your questions and yearnings about your sacred life path. Sometimes we will take time for guided meditation. At other times a sacred text or story will guide our time together. I don’t have your answers. But I am trained to know some of the questions and the spiritual tools that will help you dig deeper into meaning and purpose. In Spiritual Direction, Spirit is the true director. I do not lead my clients into one doctrine or creed. Rather, I am open to the process of exploring the landscape. My job is to show up and set the arena for the conversation to happen, to trust that we are created in the image of God, often feeling disconnected from that blueprint, but yearning for beauty and hope. I am licensed to treat depression, anxiety, trauma, developmental issues, mood disorders, and adjustment disorders. At Your Story Counseling Services I help people navigate the ins and outs of these struggles and more, all in connection with others.  Marital conflict, parenting issues, life stage challenges all can increase anxiety and deplete vitality.  My training in mental health counseling and family systems enables me to care for you as an individual in the context of your most intimate relationships.
